Noir Host, like most companies in the hosting business, accepts that the majority of server customers prefer a low cost service. As a consequence of meeting price points we have dispensed with penalty guarantees by not offering a Service Level Agreement. The low cost of our hosting services is such that the customer pays only a nominal fee for the hosting service and no guarantee of service is provided from us. The majority of your monthly fee is absorbed by technical labour, not by the cost of the hosting equipment and data. We understand that downtime costs money and disrupts your business, but we offer no guarantees. Our current network uptime is in excess of 99% and we will continue to aim for above 99% uptime on every one of our servers for the future of your business and ours. You are provided with battery backup, dual power supplies and a diesel generator to ensure that uptime is kept to a maximum. Our operating systems and web host managing software is kept up-to-date and security is a top priority. For pre-arranged services that are not listed on our site, we have the capacity to offer specific SLA guarantees on an individual basis by negotiation and this charged accordingly. Typically for a 99.5% uptime guarantee with penalty clauses if not met, dedicated technical account manager, 24 X 7 phone access we charge a monthly fee on all services covered under the SLA (per month) and require a 12 month contract from the customer. The minimum contract value must exceed $1000 per month. If a customer has the requirement we can most definitely meet it. Please contact us for more information.
